Engine Diagnostics
Today’s
modern motorcycles are increasingly well engineered. It is easy to mis-diagnose
a fault when most of the factors involved have extremely narrow tolerances.
Many of these factors are also governed by controlling electronics of
some sort.
Because of these, previously tried and tested methods of diagnosis have
become less accurate and a more detailed analysis of individual mechanical
and electronic processes needs to be used to concisely understand the
problem.
We use diagnostic hardware and software to collect and analyse information
from your machine. This information allows us to make experienced deductions
about your engine and fuel management systems, as well as the mechanical
conditions inside your combustion chamber and ancillary components.

Motorcycle Assessment
If you’re
unlucky enough to have made a bad choice when purchasing a used motorcycle,
you’ll appreciate how useful it would have been to call up a personal
mechanic to assess it on your behalf.
We will follow a set of procedures using diagnostic equipment, frame
alignment tools and an experienced eye and provide you with an accurate
description of the machine's actual condition and details of modifications
or accessories.
Assesments can also be usefull when selling as they add clarification
of a vehicles mechanical and asthetic condition.
These results can also be displayed in the assessments section of the
Optiflow forum. These forums can also include photographs of modifications
and details of any specialised work.

Engine Re-builds
We use a private
workshop to complete all engine re-builds. Due to the complexity of
most motorcycle engines it is not possible to complete a satisfactorily
clean and accurate rebuild with the tool limits and workspace confinements
provided in a mobile workshop.
